Buffalo Broccoli/Cauliflower “Wings”
The first time I made this dish was for a Super Bowl party. I have to say everyone really liked it and didn’t even care that it was cauliflower! After having a version made with broccoli at a restaurant, I started making it with both broccoli and cauliflower – although Paige prefers just broccoli!
Ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli and/ or cauliflower
Batter
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 tbs nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Sauce
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbs coconut oil
- 2 tbs maple syrup
Servings: bowl

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. (If you don’t have parchment paper just grease the pan with coconut oil.)
- Prepare broccoli/cauliflower by cutting into “wings”. For the broccoli you can just use the “trees” or you can also cut the stems into coins and use them too (I peel the stems if using).
- In a bowl combine the flour, milk, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder and sea salt. Use a whisk to mix well.
- Dip the veggies in the batter to coat, and then put on prepared baking sheet. Place in oven and cook until crispy, about 20 minutes.
- While veggies are cooking make the sauce. Combine all the ingredients in a pot and heat until warm and coconut oil has melted (adjust the sauce’s spice according to your family’s taste .) When veggies are crispy, pour sauce over to coat, then put back in oven for an additional 8-10 minutes .
- Remove from oven and serve! My family likes them with ranch dressing!
