Sweet and Sour Meatballs
These are so easy and delicious, just remember if serving as a meal to add lots of steamed veggies to the plate and brown rice to help balance the sugar. These are definitely the occasional treat!
Ingredients
  • 1-2lbs Ground BeefAmount depends on how many meatballs you want to make
  • 1jar Chili SauceThe one that is near the ketchup. Be sure to check lane for unwanted ingredients! I use OrganicVIlle
  • 1 jar grape jellyAgain make sure to check the label. I use Crofter’s
Instructions
  1. Form ground beef into meatballs about 2 inches in diameter – you can make smaller or larger if you like.
  2. Put a medium to large sauce pan on the stove. Empty the Chili Sauce and Grape Jelly into the pot. Heat until jelly becomes a liquid, string to mix the two ingredients together.
  3. Carefully place the meatballs into the sauce, making sure that they are covered by the sauce. Cover the pot and cook until meatballs are cooked through.
  4. Remove from Stove and serve immediately. Note for a party I recommend keeping them warm in a crock pot.
